Australian trio DMA’s were an early morning Sunday highlight for myself at this years Outside Lands Music Festival, where they performed their latest single “Lay Down” before its official premier happened on BBC1 about a week ago.
“Lay Down” is a top-drawer rock-pop beauty whose jangly rhythm and undeniable swagger would’ve fit right in with any Brit-pop artist on heavy rotation during the mid 90’s. I’m thankful that more than 20 years later, rad bands like the DMA’s are around to craft songs that great parties can be born from.
