“On The Rocks” by Toronto indie rockers The Rural Alberta Advantage is, according to lead singer Nils Edenloff, about both accepting that a romantic relationship is ending and also related to his first trip to Newfoundland and Labrador (Canada’s easternmost province, also referred to as “The Rock”). And these lyrical themes blend beautifully with the instrumentals to create a song that builds and explodes into the intense melody that closes out the track.
The new album Mended With Gold is out September 30th via Saddle Creek.
