Wrocław, Poland isn’t a place that comes to mind for most people as a hotbed for new music. Nonetheless, it only takes a few breakout artists to change a city’s reputation and artists like TK’s latest obsession Oxford Drama and ambient electronic duo Venter are hoping to make a name for Western Poland’s largest city.
Venter is the project of producers Tomasz Bednarczyk (Harrison Chord) and Tomasz Mrenca. Their first offering “City of Spring” opens with a chilly gust of ambient violin and twinkling lights before a bubbling hip hop beat propels the song forward with a sharp snap. It’s a brisk but refreshing cut perfect for a chill afternoon.
