The other day BBC debuted this Four Tet remix of the xx’s “Angels.” Personally, I’m still “getting acquainted” with the album itself, but my love for this remix was immediate and visceral. Four Tet truly strips the track down to the basics with a twinkling and spare ambiance breaking apart into gleaming static and white noise. In the end the noise washes out and the pieces are reconnected into a gorgeous, simple melody. Pure love.
