I won’t lie: I discovered Brooklyn’s MNDR via the Pitchfork Forkcast the other day where it received a “Best New Music” for her track “I Go Away.” And what else can I say other than that Pitchfork was right about this one. MNDR is the nom de plume of the electro-pop producer Amanda Warner. “I Go Away” is the first single from her debut E.P. (titled E.P.E.). It’s a sugar-coated pop treat that burns slow along a synthy, electro melody as Warner sings: “I’ll go my own way.” The other track I’ve posted here: “Fade to Black” is equally infectious and memorable. The safe money says you’ll be hearing a lot more about MNDR in the next few months.
