In the coming week I’ll be featuring posts about some of the awesome artists our San Francisco readers can watch at Noise Pop this coming week. The line-up is pretty amazing, so I definitely suggest you try to make it out to at least a show or two. The Festival is a long running tradition in SF, and always highlights the best up-and-coming artists.
With that said, if the idea of an irresistibly soothing pop melody sounds like something you might enjoy then you’ll probably love this single by the Los Angeles based quartet Princeton. Above is the video for the single “Calypso Gold” off of their debut Cocoon of Love that was released in September of last year. A gently uplifting string melody buoys a delicious song featuring loosely narrative, but picturesque lyrics “Mercedes Benz she drove / out to here last night / the sun was gathering the stars / she likes to see them all / she likes to fly”.
