French newcomer Erhal Lacroix is Kije Manito. His debut single “Majestaju” is a call to unity and communion. A perfect slice of future hybrid-pop, it’s dipped into glitch electronica but with soulful clarinet elements that flit between funk and world music, cherry-picking from each genre for a blend that seems complex but effortless. “Majestaju” was mixed by Diplo collaborator Luca Pretolesi and it’s the title track of his forthcoming debut EP due out by the end of the month.
