LA’s Gallant has been one of our favorite new artists for awhile now (as you may recall, we tagged him as one of the 15 best new artists you need to watch early last year). Well, he’s recently returned with a a pair of new singles and (earlier today) a sparse cover of Foo Fighters’ “Learn To Fly.”
The cover in particular is set upon a percussive, delicately constructed arrangement that truly allows the slick r&b crooner to showcase his range. It’s so hot you can almost feel the steam rising. Take a listen to it as well as his own new single “Open Up” below.
