Last year our friends Turtle Giant set up shop at the Dom Pedro V Theatre in Macau (the oldest theater in Asia) to record the follow up to their excellent debut EP All Hidden Places. Their latest offering, the psychedelic and sparkling “Golden Summer”, was pulled from those sessions and it may be one of their best releases to date. It’s built around a shuffling, jazzy rhythm and crisp, bright guitar riffs that are set against a spacious and airy soundscape. It’ll appear on their new album Many Mansions (Part I).
