“My Baby Don’t Understand Me” is the opening track from Nashviille songwriter (and Jenny Lewis collaborator) Natalie Prass‘ debut record. And its arguably her most glorious and evocative track yet. Surrounded by billowing brass and soaring strings, she sings in a soft but pained croon, “Where do you go when the only home that you know is with a stranger?” before repeating “Our love is a long goodbye” over and over again on the bridge.
