Single Serving: Sheer Mag – What You Want

Sheer Mag is a spanking new band out of Philly whose music sounds like its forty years old. Their debut single, “What You Want,” is a scrappy song bolstered by fuzzy guitars and an even fuzzier vocal performance—a carefree three and a half minutes that finds the perfect balance between power and pop. While nothing about “What You Want” is original, it’s a darn impressive track from a band that’s only existed since February. And besides, who needs originality when you’ve got pure ear candy in your arsenal? Sometimes, that’s all you want.
