With links to bands like Strand Of Oaks and Titus Andronicus, it’s no surprise Little Big League sound like a band inspired by indie rock and punk. Their 2012 LP These Are Good People remains an underrated gem, and their latest single (also the name of their upcoming full-length) ‘Tropical Jinx’ is more evidence that singer Michelle Zauner’s vibrant vocal style the star of the show. And although the track doesn’t ever hit the 2-minute mark, it feels fully formed. It’s a lesson in succinct songwriting.
