Blonde Redhead have announced the follow up to 2010’s excellent Penny Sparkle. Titled Barragán, the new record will be released on September 2 via Kobalt.
They’ve also shared the album’s first single “No More Honey” to accompany the news. As we’ve come to expect from the trio, the new single offers a subtle but atmospheric vibe. It’s cavernous with a slow, deliberate bassline and effervescent synths to accompany vocalist Kazu Makino’s hushed croon as she sings, “whatever you do / I won’t be sorry / no more honey.”
