With a name like It Looks Sad. you almost expect an opening line like the one heard in ‘Radical,’ which concerns itself with trying to get some sleep on a deathbed. But amidst the darkness of singer Jimmy Turner’s lyrics and claim of their moniker, there’s a shimmery tone and calmness of delivery that paints a much brighter picture. Hailing from Charlotte, North Carolina, the band recently signed with indie label Tiny Engines, and after getting a taste of the post-punk infused guitar rock of ‘Radical,’ I can’t wait to hear more.
Tiny Engines will release the band’s “Self-Titled” 7″ this summer.
