The good lady Empress Of (a.k.a. Lorely Rodriguez) just self-released this awesome new jam earlier today. Laser sharp synths and a simmering rhythm bubble up beneath Rodriguez’s vocals as she sings, “freedom ain’t free / if i can’t get free with you / just like me ain’t me / if i can’t be me with you.” It’s definitely the sot of awesomeness we’ve come to expect from her.
