Bogota’s Salt Cathedral are about to blow your mind. At least, “blown” was how my mind felt after digesting their debut single “Take Me To The Sea.” Built upon a foundation of clattering percussion and skittering bass, this jam just gradually builds before breaking into a stuttering, polyphonic orgy of clean sonic textures and weaving melodies. If you’ve been around awhile you may remember their previous band, Il Abanico, which was also excellent, but it’s fair to say that their output as Salt Cathedral is on the next level. I’m eager for more.
