You may remember the distinctive bedroom r&b of Toronto-based experimental songwriter Sean Blackthorn. I referred to his previous single “The Spirits” as one of the prettiest tracks I’d heard in a long while. It still is actually. Anyways, he’s back with a smokey, soulful new cut titled “[One] Night.” It retains the emotional and quietly confessional ambiance of his prior work by building his distant vocals atop a clean piano-built melody and forward-mixed electronics and bass. Give it a listen now.
