Earlier this year the National stopped by and performed a short acoustic performance for SiriusXMU. They played four tracks from High Violet with acoustic guitars, pianos, and violins. The tunes radiated a whole new energy in this incarnation. “Anyone’s Ghost” shines with a clammy, nimbleness through a melody constructed solely from acoustic guitar and violin. “Conversation 16” becomes a swayingly haunted piano ballad. Definitely a great , and highly recommend, addition to your library if you are already a fan on the National.
