Kacey Johansing is definitely the most engaging new voice to the San Francisco music scene. Having recently celebrated the local release of her debut, Many Seasons, at the Rickshaw Stop, Kacey is set to release the album upon the music-loving world at large on June 15th. “Oh, Brother” is the album’s first single. It is an sugar-sweet tune that features some catching whistling, an simple organ melody and Johansing’s own sultry vocals. Many Seasons is set to be released on Porto Franco, the same San Francisco-based art gallery/collective/record label that released Seth Augustus’ whiskey and gravel-hewn debut, To The Pouring Rain, and Mark Matos & Os Beaches, psychedelic stomper debut Words of the Knife.
