Sleigh Bells are the Brooklyn duo of Derek Miller (songwriter/beats/guitars) and Alexis Krauss (vocals), and they have been on just about every music critic’s shortlist since their stunning performance at CMJ. Indeed, there is an undeniable awesomeness permeating every inch of their blown-out thumping abrasive pop music on tracks like “Crown On The Ground” and “Infinity Guitars.” Similarly, the distorted drop-it and drag-it hip hop bump on demos like “Holly” and “Beach House” are equally and indisputably bad ass. If you are obsessed with music and constantly on the look out for that “something new” – this is the type of stuff you are looking for. I highly, highly recommend checking out the demos for “Ring Ring” and “Crown On The Ground.” Sleigh Bells have my vote for most anticipated debut in 2010, and I’d bet they are about to earn your vote too.
