Welcome to another meal-themed Turntable Kitchen mixtape (you may remember our Breakfast Mix from a couple of months back). For this one, Kasey asked me to compile “five or six songs” to accompany her Fall Dinner Menu post. Obviously I couldn’t stop with only six tracks, so you’re getting a full fledged mix.
My goal was to compile a list that could accompany both your time working in the kitchen and the dinner itself. With that in mind, the mix is intended to have a certain ebb and flow that might correspond to the mood of a warm and comforting fall meal. That said, I also recognize that your time in the kitchen might vary depending on what you’re cooking and your time around the table might vary from person to person. That’s OK. The main idea is that it starts relatively energetically, slowly builds, drops a little in tempo, and then finds a nice groove before finishing things out on a very chill note. You can loop it and let it start all over. Enjoy!
